The New Fashion Rules for 2023 & Beyond

We’ve predicted the future of fashion for years now, and it’s finally here. We’re sure you’ll agree that what we’ve seen so far could not have been imagined even 10 years ago. We’re looking forward to seeing how this trend continues to evolve over time—and what new trends will be born out of it!

Slogan T-Shirts Will Continue to Dominate

Slogan t-shirts will continue to dominate the market in 2023 and beyond. They are a great way to express yourself, whether it’s through your interests or personality. Slogan t-shirts can be worn by anyone and everyone because they’re so versatile: you can wear them with jeans and sneakers, or dress them up with a skirt or heels!

Co-Ordinating Suits Will Continue to Dominate

  • Suit separates will be the most popular choice, with matching waistcoats and blazers.
  • Suits will come in a variety of colors, materials and patterns.
  • Suits can be worn at work and in social situations such as weddings and parties.
  • If you’re going to wear a suit on a regular basis, it should be comfortable and easy to wear

Athleisure Will Take a Back Seat

You’ve likely heard of athleisure, a trend that has been around for a while now. Unfortunately, it’s not likely to stick around much longer.

Athleisure is not as comfortable as it used to be, and it’s not as practical either. It started out as a way to mix fashion with function but has become more about being lazy than looking good or being comfortable at the gym or on the street.

For example: when you go jogging in pants that are intended for working out? Or when you wear sweatpants (with pockets!) with a nice blazer? These things won’t look good in 2023 because they’re too casual and don’t fit into any specific category of clothing—they make no sense! They’re just confusingly dressed-up sweatpants!

Tailoring Will Not Be Forgotten

In the future, tailoring will not be forgotten. While we’re all excited about looser silhouettes and more clothes that breathe, we mustn’t forget the power of tailored clothing when it comes to dressing well.

The key here is keeping it simple. Don’t overdo it with your tailoring—you don’t need to have custom-made everything in order to look good. Think about what your main pieces are and how you can cut them down for a more streamlined silhouette or add interest by playing around with different textures or colors (for example: a black suit jacket paired with a blue shirt). Use your tailor’s skills as an opportunity to stand out from the crowd by adding subtle details like pockets or lapels that aren’t standard issue on your favorite shirt or pants!

Suiting Might Even Have a Knitwear Moment

“Knits are having a moment,” says stylist Liza Golden. “They’re comfortable, versatile and can be worn to the office or on weekends.”

Want to get in on this trend? Here’s how to do it right:

  • Go with a blazer instead of a suit jacket. Blazer jackets look just like suit jackets but tend to be lighter weight than their tailored counterparts. They’re also easier to move around in when you’re running around for your daily commute (and sometimes even at work).
  • Wear jeans or pants underneath your knitwear layers—not over them. Jeans will provide structure and shape while keeping things casual enough for the workplace—unlike more formal dress pants that might not sit as well against your body type when paired with knitwear outer layers like cardigans and sweaters.

Bralets Won’t Disappear, but They’ll Get a Corsetry Workout

The bra, that essential piece of lingerie that has been the only solution to a woman’s needs since the creation of man, will undergo a major update in 2023. The new bra will be more structured than ever before and will provide significant support for your breasts.

The current trend toward corsetry does not mean that traditional bras are going away—in fact, they’re here to stay! But you can expect the classic bra to get an overhaul in terms of both style and design over the next few years. This means less frills with more structure.

The Rise of Leggings Will Extend Beyond Activewear and Loungewear

While you may have previously associated leggings with fitness and loungewear, their popularity has made them a versatile wardrobe staple. They can be worn under skirts, dresses and shorts to add another layer of warmth. Leggings can also be worn as an alternative to tights for those who prefer the look of bare legs but want extra comfort.

Leggings are comfortable enough to wear as pants on their own: simply pair them with a blouse or sweater for casual chic style that looks great in any setting.

Blouses Won’t Disappear, But They’ll Take on New Forms

You’ll be seeing a lot more blouses. The style will continue to be popular, but it won’t disappear. Instead, the shape of the blouse will take on new forms and become seen in more ways than before. The colour palette will also expand.

Kimonos Are Here to Stay

Kimonos are traditional Japanese clothing. They’re an important part of the country’s culture and history, and they’re also a great way to wear color and pattern in your wardrobe. You can wear one as a wrap dress or simply drape it over your shoulders. Kimonos come in all shapes and sizes, so you can find the right one for any occasion.

Kimonos are a great option for summer because they’re lightweight enough to be worn outside without getting too hot while still providing some coverage from sunburns or bugs (depending on where you live). They work well as beach cover-ups as well!

Welcome to the future!

This is a time of great change, but also a time of great opportunity. Fashion has always been about expression and communication, and now more than ever, we can use it to show the world who we are and what matters to us.

The future is here! It’s time you got in on it!

As you can see, the trends are all pointing towards an even more refined, elevated look. While there’s no need to abandon your favorite pieces from last year or buy into everything at once, it’s important to keep an eye on what’s coming up next and be prepared for how these changes will affect your own wardrobe choices.
